running the FTRL script doesnt work as it doesnt seem to have permission to flash the partitions as per the following message (I am running FTRL as administrator)
==================================
FASTBOOT TETHERED RECOVERY LAUNCHER 05-16-2015-PTR
==================================
DEVICE STATUS: FASTBOOT-ONLINE
DEVICE INFORMATION: L25117C8N1K3 Fastboot
==================================
copy needed files to our device
target reporting max download size of 536890912 bytes
sending '/tmp/recover.zip'(3477 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.321s]
writing '/tmp/recovery.zip'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed to flash this partition)
the script then fails in the same way for recovery.launcher and logcat.
i have tried unlocking the device (fastboot oem unlock) after reading some threads here however that doesnt work either.
any suggestions appreciated?
thanks
Hi, i worked it out finally. what i did was use fastboot to flash the droidboot, boot and recovery partitions but using the files taken from the A5CN507_update zip. from there i was able (following a few reboots) to use the 07-04-2015 version onf FBRL script to get back in to TWRP. from there i was able to install the full A5CN507_update.zip and that allowed me to boot back to the stock chinese device. i then re-installed GAPS. doesnt give me the taiwanese version but better than a dead device. good luck. |
